Each year, people spend on average, thousands of dollars on self-improvement products and services, in the areas diet and weight loss, personal development books, coaching programs, conferences, seminars, etc.
And while there is a lot that could be said about the effectiveness (as well as the ineffectiveness) of the products and services, the fact still remains, that we are all created with a unique and innate ability to create the things we want in our lives.
And though there are certainly many benefits to utilizing and implementing some of these resources to help us reach our goals, the truth remains, it’s what takes place inside of us that creates the world we see and experience around us.
It is our internal state, which includes our thought, belief systems, emotions, etc., that really determines how effective we are in creating the things we say we really want in our lives.
Our thoughts create or cause us to feel a certain emotion, which then leads us to take action, ending in a result.
So, in essence, our ability to either create what we desire or what we fear lies in between our thoughts and our emotions. So, with that understanding, we should be able to see massive shifts in our lives, right?!
In a perfect world, yes! But in reality, we still need a few ingredients in the mix to create what we want within this masterpiece called life.
These ingredients are known as the following: Desire, Goals, Belief, Positive, Outlook, and consistency.
1. Desire
The first ingredient is desire.
Having a strong desire for the outcome you want to create is the first step to achieving or gaining the thing(s) you’ve set your heart and focus towards.
Think of your desire like the flames from a burning fire and your goal(s) like a moth within close proximity! As your desire for achieving a particular goal increases, the things, support, and resources are drawn towards you, causing manifestation and achievement.
2. Goals
Next up, are your goal.
Without goals the flames from your desire will begin to dim, causing you to become stuck or even stagnant.
Goals help support our vision, by giving us direction and helping us remain focused, in spite of obstacles or setbacks.

If you’re able to envision yourself and the things you want to accomplish from a future state, you’ll inevitably create what is you see. The more you see or visualize, the more firm the image becomes in your mind, and the more likely you will get exactly what you long for!
3. Belief
One of the biggest areas most people struggle with is the belief in themselves.
Being conscious of your ability and worthiness to have what you desire and/or need is an extremely critical step to achieving fulfilment in your life.
All too often, we allow past failures and mistakes to hold us back and keep us from reaching out towards those big goals or dreams.
But the truth is, those same failures and setbacks were the very things we needed to launch and catapult us into place(s) we had been dreaming about.
4. Positive Outlook
The most beautiful dream, the strongest desire, and the clearest goal will bring you right back where you started if your belief system is off or an entirely negative one.
If you have a habit of seeing everything through a negative lens, fearing the worst, or expecting bad things to happen, your mind will create exactly what you’re fearing, as opposed to what you say you want.
A positive outlook causes you to see things from a different perspective, a more elevated one. This, then allows you to look for lessons in the things you go through versus seeing challenges as some kind of punishment.
5. Consistency
If you’re creative or an innovator any way, you know firsthand how easy it is to set a goal and start heading down a specific path, only to get distracted or lose track and eventually give up altogether.
It is super easy to start something, and even easier to just quit…but it takes consistency to achieve success, and this is often where most people fall off.
As you study most successful individuals, be it an athlete, movie star, CEO, etc., you will find that they all have one thing in common…consistency…AKA…not giving up when things got hard, not walking away when they lost supporters, not giving in to their fears when things seemed like they would never be turned around.
Being consistent, and not giving up will eventually bring you the freedom and achievement you want.
With these five internal motivators in place, you’ll no doubt be in a better position to create the life of fulfilment you truly desire. And any external resources, like say, coaching, training, educational material, etc. will not only enhance the process but also help in accelerating your results.
